I worked on set in the film industry for less than a year. I remember someone calling it the dream factory and I thought that was accurate, if you've ever worked in a factory, it's the same. If you work in a factory that manufactures cars, you don't get to experience the cars, you don't get to enjoy the cars or take them home. You just make them. It's the same with the dream factory. From a creative vantage, as a musician and composer it is an incredibly rewarding industry to work in, as I would assume it would be as an actor, director or writer, from that perspective you are dreaming the dream. But from a technical one, you're part of an assembly line.
